Celtics rookie forward Tony Gaffney is a local basketball legend. After starring on the Massachusetts high school basketball scene he stayed local for college, attending Boston University and then the University of Massachusetts. After going undrafted, he was the last Laker cut in training camp, then broke his foot playing in Israel. While rehabbing, he lived in his parent’s house where — as legend has it — the room is a shrine to the Boston Celtics.
So it was quite an amazing story when his team, the Celtics, signed Gaffney just before the playoffs. He hasn’t played for them yet, but he’ll be on the Summer League team, and if he makes the opening day roster this fall, his contract is guaranteed for next season.
But did he really grow up in a shrine to his current team, or is that just some kind of urban myth?

Snippet Of The Article
A healthy, 25-year-old Christian minister went to an Oakland, Calif., emergency room in September 2008, complaining of something in his eye, reports a case study in this month’s issue of The Annals of Emergency Medicine. An eyelash, maybe? A pesky speck of dust, perhaps? Or, ew, maybe a stray contact lens had wedged its way somewhere in there?
It’s just so much worse. Israel Orellana’s discomfort was caused by something called an African eye worm. That’s a worm. In his EYEBALL.

Traditional BMW M series styling and handling, with horsepower provided by you. The BMW M Bike ($TBA) boast high-tech components worthy of its name, including a matte anthracite frame, disc brakes, a Shimano SLX gear system, a Manitou Match suspension fork on the front wheel, a leather saddle with red inlay, and striking wheels with matching handles. It won’t be cheap, but then again it’ll probably be less than a single month’s payment on the M3, M5, or M6.

“If asked, if he calls me and says ‘What’s it like to live in New York, I’ll give him a big sales pitch for New York,” Bloomberg said.
“I love living in New York, my kids love living in New York, I think LeBron James would love living in New York and it is the world’s greatest stage,”
