” The design studio Pharos Marine comes from the land of the pharaohs and pyramids, and has unveiled plans for a new 60-meter superyacht called the Orcageno. It is definitely not supposed to house the remains of dead pharaohs, but the yacht is supposed to be eco-friendly using a hydrogen diesel-electric system. Based around an advanced slender hull form with an axe bow, offering lower resistance due to low angle of entrance, excellent sea-keeping and a range of up to 13,000 nautical miles, the Pharos Marine has applied high safety standards to provide unfailing conditions during loading and consumption of hydrogen fuel. To ensure safety at all times, the Orcageno is well equipped with a shutdown emergency system in case of hydrogen gas leakage that otherwise remains well isolated and fabricated from stress-resistant material. Operating on hydrogen mode, it can reach more than 3500 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots, while it can reach more than 1800 nautical miles at speed of 18 knots.”
